『Cafe Canon』という家の近くにある僕の大好きな小さいなカフェの３周年パーティーの為に昨日の夜に演奏しました。グランドオペンのパーティーや一周年と二周年のパーティーの為にも演奏しました。昨日は友達でありコーラボレータでもある『島裕介』と共演しました。彼はいつも通り素敵でした。島さんの新しいリーダーアルバムの為の新しいアレンジをたくさんやりました。来月一緒に山梨県でレーコディングをします。次のCafe Canonライブは６月８日（１９時半スタート）です。遊びに来てね！！！

Cafe Canon 3 Year Anniversary
I played yesterday for the 3rd anniversary of one my favorite little cafe's near where I live called Cafe Canon. I played their for the grand opening and for the 1st and 2nd anniversary parties. Last night I got to play with my friend and collaborator Yusuke Shima. He sounded great as always. We got a chance to try some of his new arrangements that we will be recording for his new CD next month. I will be back at Cafe Canon on Saturday, June 8th at 730pm so mark your calendar.

Perfect Show at Sweet Basil in Tokyo
１０年前からのはっきり覚えているライブはとても少ないのですが、金曜日のSweet Basilのライブは１０年後にはっきり覚えている気がします。
全面的にライブがうまく行って、ベストライブの１つになりました。メンバーの演奏は最高でした。CDと同じメンバーなのですが、生で演奏するのは初めてでした。真部裕ーバイオリン、遠藤益民ーチェロ、Patrick Glynn-ベース、Dennis Frehse-ドラム。クインテットなのですが、僕のとって二つのトリオです。典型的なクラッシックトリオと典型的なジャズトリオです。二ついいとこ取りをする。ゲストボーカルの２人（青木カレン、畠山美由紀）の演奏も素晴らしかったです！ピアノの音も凄く良くて、バンドの全体の音も凄く良かったです。２００人以上が入ってリーダとして記録を破りました。そして来て頂いたお客さんが本当に楽しんでいたみたいです。力の限りを尽くして、とても気持ちよかったです。来て頂いたお客さんや頑張ってくれたスタフやミュージシャンにとても感謝しています！！！

There are not too many shows that I remember clearly from 10 years ago but the show this past Friday night at Sweet Basil is definitely a show that I will remember clearly 10 years from now. Everything came together to make it one of my best shows ever. First of all the band members all played amazing. Although I recorded with these members it was my first time to play live with them. Yu Manabe on violin, Masatami Endo on Cello, Patrick Glynn on bass and Dennis Frehse on drums. It is a quintet but to me it is more like having 2 piano trios. A classical piano trio and a jazz piano trio at the same time. The best of both worlds. The 2 guest vocalists (Karen Aoki and Miyuki Hatakeyama) also sounded great. The piano at the club sounded great as did the sound of the entire band. We also had over 200 people who came to the show which is a record for me as a leader. And they all seemed to really enjoy the music. I gave the performance all I had and it felt so good performing in that situation. Big thanks to everyone who came and to everyone who participated in making the show a big success!!!! Enjoy the photos taken by Taketo Mizushima.
